Join the Big Christmas Jumper Swap
Drop off your unwanted Christmas jumpers between 22nd November and 6th December
🎄 Did you know that 1 in 4 Christmas Jumpers are only worn once? Come along and swap your old jumper for a new (to you) one!
⭐ Attend Nottingham City Council's Big Christmas Jumper Swap on the 7th of December at Nottingham Central Library to get a pre-loved Christmas jumper and support the circular economy.
🎅 If you can't attend the jumper swap on the 7th December, don't worry! Drop off your clean and lightly used Christmas jumpers from the 22nd of November - 6th of December at Woodthorpe Plant Shop or at the Homemade Café in the Arboretum.
All holiday themed jumpers are being collected, in all sizes from babies to adults! Find more information about the swap here.
Why is the swap important?
👕Buying brand new clothes not only costs your bank balance, but it costs the planet too. New clothes use a huge amount of water, land, resources and energy to produce.
👖 Producing just 1 pair of jeans requires approximately 10,000 litres of water! Plus, synthetic materials like polyester are made of plastic which, when washed, release microplastics into our rivers.
🌍 By re-wearing, upcycling, swapping and donating your clothes you can help lessen the impact of the fashion industry on the planet.
