Join us at Nottingham Green Festival
The annual Nottingham Green Festival returns on Sunday 10th September for the 30th year running! The event will take place in the Arboretum from 12-6pm and is free to attend.
The Green Festival is a family friendly and fun event which aims to inspire action to protect the environment with a range of music, talks, and activities on offer, including:
🎼Live music at the bandstand
🎨Fun activities for families and children
🌱100 stalls from a range of local green businesses including vegan food and shopping
💡Talks to inspire you to be more sustainable
Some of the stalls at the event will be local organisations working to tackle the climate crisis. A taste of what is on offer is below:
Carbon Neutral Nottingham
Carbon Neutral Nottingham is a citywide campaign to make Nottingham the first carbon neutral city in the UK. Find out how you can take action and learn more about your carbon footprint. The stall will be in the ‘Energy Zone’ of the event – take a look at the festival map here.
Marches Energy Agency Fantastic Home exhibition van
This ‘house on wheels’ shows how to make our homes more energy efficient using this mobile interactive exhibition. Get tips on how to reduce your energy bills and the carbon footprint of your home by popping by the van.
Nottingham Green Guardians
The Green Guardians are involved in all things to do with improving the local environment, giving back to your community, and getting active outdoors. Visit their stall and find out about their volunteering opportunities.
This artistic installation by Tuning Group features artwork and an audio soundscape, produced from the findings of the Hello Nottingham project. The project explored a fresh way to ask people in Nottingham about their feelings on climate change.
